hello simplelife--It's lovely that Chris Rock is from a family of preachers, but one time I was watching Chris Rock, and I put my television on 'MUTE'--and I could STILL hear him! True story.

Sandzak: I can't stand filthy Stand-Up Comics; I'm not a prude, I just don't think it's necessary. Screaming and cursing can both be extremely irritating. I don't really listen to comedians that often.

He doesn't scream, he preaches his jokes... he was from a family of preachers. He is one of the best stand-up comedians i have ever seen.

I would find the screaming much less annoying than the constant swearing Eddie Murphy uses when doing comedy. Maybe they do :-)

Hi SandZakUSrcU: I understand what your saying, but I don't watch him enough to get used to the screaming. Now that I think about it, Sinbad does the same thing. Maybe they think the jokes are funnier at loud volume or something.

It's just the way he brings his comedy to the people. Other people make faces (Jim Carrey), and Chris Rock screams. It annoyed me too in the beginning, but the more I started watching him, the less I pay attention to him screaming. It's what makes Chris Rock Chris Rock.

Ok. Chris Rock has some genuinely funny material, offensive though it may be. But here's my question; WHY does he always SCREAM his jokes out???? When he talks, he is barely moving his mouth, like his jaws are partially wired shut, or like an annoying ventriloquist.

You're actually quite correct. That's why there's a hatred between africans and caribbeans. Some Africans calls the caribbeans 'slave children' and some carribeans call them sell-outs. I've actually heard of some caribbeans hating africans rather than white people. But I digress- Chris is funny as hell.

Black commedians make comments about whites yes it is true, but they also say deprecatory things about blacks as well, because they are commedians...I think people get upset when ALL the comments are leveled at one group, self deprecation has this privelage, this truth

You talk as though you are superior, which is a strawman fallacy. You are also clearly not concerned about stopping or impeding slavery. If you truly were, you would want to better the conditions in Africa, rather than focus blame on Europeans. You are motivated by hate rather than compassion.

No, the African involvement has NOT ended. There are still parts of Africa that practice slavery, and no one is complaining about it. Lets also remember that America only accepted about 4 percent of the slaves while Argentina took about 75 percent. That doesn't make it right, but we should still live in the present, and stop Africans from practicing slavery.

I don't know where you're from but I'll guess that you're European (Roman Empire). Instead of talking about specks of dust in someone else's eye, you should remove the plank of wood in your own. Europe is globally known for its large scale sex trafficking in sex slaves. If you want to end slavery I suggest you start there.

Who's we? I don't know who you're talking about. As I said before slavery has existed since antiquity, but it was only during the transatlantic slave trade that it became its most inhumane. That's why some Africans scream victim. As far living in the past, I simply saw the need to alleviate your ignorance on a particular topic.

No, it wasn't Africans who tied rocks to ankles, etc. It was Africans who decided to either sell or EAT their victims.
