In this video, I go through how to finish solving the white cross (after you have placed 4 white edges around the yellow center) and also how to place the 4 white bottom corners. Please watch my Steps 1 and 2 of my How to solve a Rubik's Cube tutorial on my channel playlist prior to watching this video!

I give a little more insight into why we are doing some of the moves we do. You must make sure that you match EACH white edge piece FIRST before flipping it onto the white side.

If you do NOT match each piece, you will not see the upside down T's at the end of the second step.

For the second step, we are looking for white corners in the TOP layer which have a white sticker on the SIDE. Once you have found one, you must match it diagonally with its center color. Is white facing left or right?

If facing left: Li Ui L
If facing right: R U Ri

Be sure to hold the center color you have matched on the FRONT face.

To fix a corner piece that has a white sticker on TOP, first make sure you position the corner piece above an empty spot (does not have a correcly placed corner). Then place that corner piece directly in front on the right, then do:

R U2 Ri

You can now match that corner piece and place it down using the 3 move sequences.

  • You first make the ...

You first make the white cross, then place the bottom white corners, then middle edge pieces (now you're done with the first 2 layers). Then you finish the last layer (my steps 4-7). Depending on what stage you are at, I have videos which help you understand what to do next.

I am not sure what you're having trouble with. You say you can complete one side and/or the cross (Steps 1 and 2). Is it the steps after that you are having difficulty with?

Thank you for answering. It's just that every time I get one side done or a cross, when I try to go on, every thing get's messed up. I just don't know when to use which algorithms.

  • This is a ...

This is a clarification video and goes into less detail than the original steps. It was meant to clear up some FAQs which viewers had left on my Steps 1 and 2 of my tutorial. As I said, I didn't want to go into much detail on making the cross, so if you'd like a "less conveniently" mixed cube, you should refer to my Steps 1 and 2. They can be found on the playlist directly to the right, and also in the video description.
