I took apart four disposable cameras and used their charging circuit and capacitors to create a coil gun shaped like a pistol for ease of use. Each projectile has to be hand made and its power is limited but still very cool.

    I had big problems with contacts melting until i tried this switch. The first time it fired it stuck allitle but since then its been working fine :D

    dont your switch melts or something? ive got a switch like that, but i havent try to fire with it. i hope it dont stop working or something cause its for 127v and my coil is 341v (not that strong)

    A little more power would be sweet, I've got a 65J coilpistol (1.5J ballistic, goes through a can) and I'm workin on a 600J coilcarbine which should be around 15J ballistic and go through drywall.
