  • Hey Japtethite: I ...

    Hey Japtethite:
I think the reason...I use convert a lot too...is that there is a stage of development difference between convert and disciple. A convert is what someone is when they are first changed by the Spirit of God. Once they are converted, they transition (hopefully seemlessly) into a disciple. The first hope and goal is to convert (present Gospel pray for God to convert) the next is to teach them all that Jesus taught (disciple).

  • 1) For your sake, I ...

    1) For your sake, I hope you're not over 13; your mind is impossibly illogical, and you're beyond immature. 2) FWIW, I am not angry in the slightest. In fact, I am quite jolly; just got off work and am sitting here enjoying a slice of my favorite pizza. 3) I am bothered by you because you derail otherwise profitable discussions. You're like a crazy man who dresses up as a banana, finds some people having a conversation, and slings handfuls of peanut butter at them. You add nothing worth while.

  • I'll just say this: ...

I'll just say this: anytime I come across a video, and you're there spouting off illogical, unrelated-to-the-topic nonsense at random Christians, I will post a little note letting them know that they ought not be bothered by you, because YOU issue challenges that you won't make good on if it involves a knowledgable Christian. In terms of the ability to argue, you have the ego of a boxer, but the arms of a ballerina.

  • Just so everyone ...

Just so everyone knows, I've asked Bufantas numerous times to call into Unchained Radio or CARM Radio (google them both) to present and defend his atheistic worldview. He utterly refuses, despite the fact that in his profile he says, "please contact me if you would...like me to explain that there is no God." You'd think an "evangelical atheist" would want some free air time? I think Bufantas knows his bag of fallacies wouldn't stand a chance against a trained Christian apologist.

  • I love both of ...

I love both of these guys, but I really hate that they keep using the term "convert". We weren't called to make converts. Jesus has called us to make DISCIPLES. Students of the word of God, followers of the Messiah. That's a monstrous difference in meaning...

Because, in truth, it ISN'T about numbers. Quality over quantity. If even one sinner is brought to repentance, the angels of the heavens rejoice.

Again, both of these men know this, but man I wish they'd stop saying "convert".

  • To believe that the ...

To believe that the whole world, the universe, all that's in it, and then life, originated out of nothing producing something? And that something, negating the core laws that govern everything we see (meaning the 1st and 2nd laws of thermodynamics) produced structures, and then through millions and millions of very unlikely coincidences (miracles?), came up with this awesome variety of life? Now that requires a lot of faith! It is a desperate attempt to avoid considering the alternative...

  • Why would there be ...

Why would there be archaeological evidence for the Garden of Eden? Biblically, that's impossible as the world (as created) was destroyed by the flood. Incidentally, the flood story does a pretty good job of explaining our fossil discoveries and why the world looks the way it does today, contradictory to the accepted belief in the arbitrary aging of the earth and the equally arbitrary geologic column.

  • "Tampering with ...

"Tampering with what God has created" is all that man can do. Man has no raw materials; he only takes Gods' resources and perverts. Big bang: confusion producing order. Please! None of us are that off. The origin of life is preserved for the one who produces it. Bufantas please stop denying that there is a supreme being that we all must face one day. I love you man. In you I see the old me.
