And, Tae Kwon-Do can and is used in fight senarios on the street...'cos it worked for me several times.

If a robber has a gun juijitsu aikido or any grapple based martial arts is useless unless the robber never shot anyone..It's better to learn negotiating skills than martial arts....

That's why I hate those people who brag about being a high ranked Karate, Tae Kwon Do, or Kung Fu practitioner. When the F**k is it ever going to be practical in real life when a robber goes after you or something, with a gun to do a 540 Spin Kick? That's why I'd suggest Juijitsu, Aikido or any of the grapple based martial arts. I, personally, am a 6th Han in Aikido, and I've found it pretty practical. Once you're taught a grapple properly, you can improvise the rest depending on the situation.

Tae Kwon Do is indeed extremely F**king hard to pull off in a real fight ( I am currently 1st degree with 6 years of tae kwon do ) however if you manage to land any of those "graceful" looking kicks on a person the result is absolutly devastating. A simple hook kick can cause major injury.
