    you should play Crisis Core, it explains everything. the guy who flew was Genesis, sephiroth's "brother"(only by Jenova cells) and the guy he flew out with was Weiss. Sephiroth, Genesis, and Zack's trainer, Angeal all have one wing.Genesis is a completely different person from Sephiroth. the only reason why Sephiroth is known as the one-winged angel and not genesis is because genesis disappeared and Angeal died.
