I agree with you. people who threaten to harm themselves to get attention are the most stupid and self centered people you ever meet. should we feel bad for suicide "victims"? they gave up on life. its sad but its still their choice

I was a chat group years ago, and someone went wiggy on us. She went into a trance and walked out into the night. Someone knew where she lived (in a College dorm) and contacted the police. They were able to find her before she harmed herself. Later she was grateful that people had cared enough to help her.

It's really scary when someone threatens suicide online and you don't know where they are and how to help them.

It was all over YouTube the day after it happened. but they took it down soon. From what I've read, most people did think it was a joke and didn't realize it was real until they noticed he wasn't breathing. By then it was way too late. Someone claimed that this kid threatened suicide a lot, so when it happened they didn't take it seriously. It was kind of like a "boy who cried wolf" situation. How terrible that some people egged him on.

I don't think anyone kills themself out of being "stupid". The guy had a mental illness. There's no way to know what went through his head every day.
