Dog Training - Leash Walking Nightmare

A leash gives you control. When your dog runs up to someone else's dog you are eventually going to run into some trouble. What will you do when your dog meets another one he doesn't like or vice versa? Or, if your dog bites someone (provoked or not) and has to be quarantined? It happens all the time. Also, it is virtually impossible to guarantee that your dog won't freak out and run into the road or run away if a car crash happens near you? Better safe than sorry - Leashes help save lives.

hey eric!!! i have a 3 month old chihuahua, when can i start training him wit ha leash? i also have a retractable leash, how can i train him with that?? thanks!!

Head halters (Gentle Leaders and Haltis) are great and I use them all the time. I like the design of the Gentle Leader better than the Halti but they both get excellent results.

My problem is that my dog simply cannot be calm. He is not relaxed for a second. Even if he is tired, he wants to walk back and forth, and never wants to go just straight ahead... what is your suggestion?
