  • It is both, Ray ...

It is both, Ray Parker on 335 and Sembello on Tele (with a humbucker in the neck). It is weird that both of these guys where first call session guitarists but they made their real fame outside musicians circles with almost novelty hits. "Who you gonna call, Ghost Busters!" and "She's a maniac on the floor" from Flashdance.

  • blackwaxjh- Ohh, ...

blackwaxjh- Ohh, yeah- too young and dark-haired to be Steve Cropper. I had forgotten Sembello (who many people might remember for "Maniac" from Flashdance)was in Wonderlove- thx for the reminder/clarification!

  • No that is Michael ...

No that is Michael Sembello, probably about 18 or 19 at the time this performance was taped. He joined Stevie's band around the same time as Ray Parker, Jr. Sembello stayed with Wonderlove until 1979, when he left to become a solo artist himself.

  • Just brilliant. ...

Just brilliant. It's a pity that most people know Stevie for all the hilarious jokes about his blindness that there are, rather than for the fact that he's a musical genius responsible for some of the greatest music of the 20th century.
