In the actual Music Machine program (which is called Pipedream) and it is intended as a screensaver which you can navigate through, change views, pause etc. etc. etc....

I'm surprised none of the other Animusic videos have been put forth as real creations. Here on YouTube it looks a lot like CGI, but on DVD video it's crystal clear and sharp, and the background detail is amazing. Look for dents in the walls and floor where balls have missed.

Originally that disclaimer was not on the end of the description. The poster should have removed the lie as soon as he discovered he'd been duped and put up the truth. The truth is more interesting anyway.

Geez it's just a CGI that was probably made by someone at U of Iowa who tried to use instruments that looked like farm machines or something alright? Btw if you think that this is a real machine you've got some serious IQ-raising to do (and possibly catch up with your sleep?)

I saw it on PBS. It's part of Animusic 2. BTW, anyone who believes this is real is more gullible than they are willing to admit.
