A beautiful song sung by 'Anup Ghoshal' in a 1983 Hindi Movie 'Masoom' directed by now internationally acclaimed dirctor Shekhar Kapur (who also shares credit for directing well known movies like Bandit Queen and Elizabeth). The music is composed by R D Burman (RDB) and lyrics written by Gulzar.

The song has been one of my personal favourites since childhood. The music, the lyrics, the situation, the father-son chemistry, the vulnerability of an innocent child, the picturisation- everything appeals to me.
