I am not a female, but my wife (the woman in the video) says that your nipples will get sore in the very beginning, but you quickly get used to it and it is not painful at all. But, you will have to ask a breast feeding woman to get the full details.

Thanks for saying. I don't claim that breasts are not pleasant to look at. However, if you are getting your jollies from watching a baby nurse, you need to see a psychologist.

I'm ok with the vid, and everything about breast feeding and all that but I have a question... how do you post stuff like this and not get it put in that position where you gotta click "confirm birthdate" or, stop it from getting removed?

I bet so many people watched this video cuz it had boobs in it. JUST SAYING.

just hopefully these smart mothers won't feed their children horrible animal products and breast milk from another specie, let the calves get their milk from their mother and live instead of becoming veal, don't drink animals milk it was not meant for human consumption.

I did not read any of the other comments and just want to say that it would really be liberating to see more mothers breastfeed whenever and wherever the nature calls for it.

A tribute to breasts? Hmmmm, I never knew there was one. Well then, here's to breasts!! I will, however, have to take exception with the, "formula is for pussies" t-shirt that baby was sporting. I was a formula-fed baby and I'm pretty sure I'm not a P***y When did you ladies become militant with this thing.

Good for you! My son is 3 and has almost stopped nursing. He nurses at night to help go to sleep, but nothing other than that. We don't stop him or discourage him, he is just done. It's still good for toddlers and youngsters to nurse. They develop independence faster than FF babies. Imagine that!

this is so great! i have a 1.5 year old boy and every now and then i have "very smart" people telling me that its time to stop breastfeeding. my son doesnt think the same! he is perfectly healthy and i know why!

A woman's body is an amazing thing, besides just being beautiful. And breast feeding is a great way to pass wonderful things on to your baby. I think women are probably the most perfect thing on the earth.

There is growing evidence that formula fed children actually pass on weakened genetic chains to their offspring. So, if you understand that, you will understand that this isn't really about kids, it's about us as a species.
Additional problems linked to formula feeding are bad teeth, bad eye sight, potential hearing damage, caused by a failure to develop proper Eustachian tube size...and the BIG one is decreased IQ; an average of 10 points. That means, FF kids aren't as smart.

Well, actually you are going to have to prove that. Formula fed babies have a seriously higher instance of allergies, especially Coeliac disease (if you aren't familiar, look it up) diabetes, digestive problems, hormonal imbalance, depression, a whole bevy of pyschological problems and immune disorders...to name a few. These are conditions that don't go away. Formula feeding children causes life long problems, and even has been linked to damage on a genetic level.

btw i hope you know this that breast feeding is only has its advantages for when the person is still young not when your past 20.

Breast feeding is healthier and cheaper! Im for it and so is my fiance. People need to wake up and realize the the more artificial things we place in our bodies makes us worse and weaker to the environment. The natural abilities we used to have to fend off illness are being washed away with all this modernization.

I reckon you're pretty smart. My son was born at home, attended by a midwife, caught by me. He is a serious home grown piece of work. Smart as a whip and healthy, I would say as a horse, but being a horse owner, I won't say that. He is just over 3 now and nurses for about 3 minutes before bed, by his choice. We are trying to cook another, but no luck so far.

They reckon breast fed babies make smarter adults don't they. Maybe he'll grow up to be a doctor with the same genital integrity his wonderful parents have. =)

My niece is always getting sick from her cousin who was bottle/formula fed. Breast milk contains antibodies so no wonder he's never sick. (The main kick starts happens when they are born naturally, exposed to the birthing canal, etc)

Thank you for contributing, but to be fair, I have to present the following information:
Healthiness and breastfeeding only have a proven direct link in children that are STILL nursing. There are many many lasting proven negative effects through childhood and all the way through to geriatrics for formula fed children, but, there has only been a link established as above.

She's right. Studies show that all children who have been breast fed are healthier then children that aren't breast fed. I was breast fed and I haven't had a cold in 5 years.

Oh, forgot one thing...
The child's right to get food and drink trumps the rights of people who's 'good sensibilities' are violated.

(and please don't respond with the bottle argument, we already covered that. It leads to unsuccessful breastfeeding, and although that may not be important to you, it is of the UTMOST importance to the child who is being nurtured with the ONLY food that was intended for them.)

I am really glad that you are healthy and have a good relationship with your mother. Unfortunately, not everyone is as lucky as you. I am glad that you are happy and healthy and obviously intelligent. Being so, I hope that you can recognize flawed logic... "I am fine, so formula is ok." Although this MAY be true in your case,it is not in all cases. Your mother was a great mother, however, presented with the all the facts and a nurturing enviro, she would have nursed you, and to your benefit.

Absolutely they have the right to be offended. I never said they didn't. We are all different in this country. We come from a whole lot of different belief systems and different comfort levels. You can do something that offends someone, like wear a thong at the beach, or a t-shirt that says 'go to hell hippies'. Others have the same rights as you, so if you are the one being offended, that is life. Health issues concerning formula? That is science. I don't think we can argue that.

It WAS right out of the video that was kind of the point. And actually my comment about recycling and animal rights was intended for breastadvocate...but I'm glad to know you're doing your part too! :) And like I said in a previous comment, by the way, I was never breast fed and I am intelligent, never had a flu or fever, don't get colds, and my mother and I have an amazing relationship. I'm just saying...

Also I've never had a drop of breast milk, and not only am i well educated but I am healthy. I've never had a flu, I get a cold maybe every 3 years and I am NOT addicted to porn. And for you to imply that my mother was abusive or lazy for not breast feeding me IS insulting, to say the least. We have bonded tremendously despite me not being breast fed. Maybe I'm just lucky.

Unfortunately for me? haha I could give two S**ts about a mother breast feeding in public, doesn't bother ME one bit. But typically covered body parts being exposed does bother a large percentage of people. Including mothers who breast feed. It's just your rights versus other peoples rights...and who's rights are more important? You absolutely have the right to breast feed in public, and everyone else as the right to be offended by it.

"It's about normalizing breast feeding - in public...wherever and whenever" I think that is right out of the video. It's a major problem in the US and we're working to change it. Formula fed babes are proven to have a lower IQ and more health problems. Making b-feeding stressful or more complicated for women makes more go over to formula, which in turn lowers the intelligence of our nation. And, I DO work towards the rights of people for fresh food, animal welfare, and recycling. ;)
