Oh yes, as for being independant, well, I've visited Hawaii with my family, with my wife and alone. If the choice is go alone or don't go, then go. But from personal experience I would say that there will be times where you'll want to turn to somebody and say "wow", and if you don't have somebody there to say "wow" back you'll notice.

Honolulu really has two distinct sides. On the surface, it's a big American city with all the trimmings. But it moves at a much more laid back pace, like most tropical places. And the best part, if you want to escape the hustle and bustle, you can find true paradise just outside the city. Or by hopping a quick flight to one of the outer islands. It's the best of both worlds, the urban and the idyllic. Hawaii is more than I ever imagined

I dont mean to sound like a grumpy old briton,but is it like you imagine?? Im 15 and have never been abroad..I eventaully wanna come here as my first trip. In a few years,like,on my own..although,like someone said,its probably better with someone else. Im independant though :D. Let me know!

I'm not really a dance club kind of guy so might not be your best source of information. However, the area around Waikiki Beach and the International Marketplace is pretty lively at night. Along streets like Lewers, Kalakaua and Kuhio. Then there's restaurant row over by the Ward Center. And of course most of the hotels have bars and lounges, and some do have clubs. Well, it's a start...

i'm going end of august. what was the nightlife like?

ahh i remember that week it was so awsome boogie boarding. ahh mani want to go there ritenow. if ne one thinks on giong ther... go there!!!... one more advise take friends cousin or relatives with u unless its a honey moon lol :) cuz with ne friend or nething its hella gay. lucky me i went with a group of 60 ppl and it washecka fun. it was 1 week waikiki and one week one cruise. its hella fun
