    I honestly would've fought back if a police officer grabbed my throat for no reason. That is of course if he wasn't as big as me. It's not illegal to do so as long as it's in self defense. Just like cops, if you are assaulted for no reason then you won't get anything on your record for fighting in self defense. Of course it has to be on tape though.
