I last time I saw the Margolis Twins, from The Tokens, was when I was around 4-years-old. I never saw twins until I met them. Our parents were friends and the boys were looking for me in the playground. I still remember.

When Neil publicly put down Brighton Beach, there was a big commotion. His dad had to apologize to a lot of people.

OOps, my answer is above, I had problems signing in.

I lived on the Lincoln/Madison border. Had several friends in Lincoln. Met Neal one night in 56, and my friends that I was with, said he was a fruit. They based this on his voice and mannerisms. Someone said Carol and Neal lived down the street from each other? Carol was from E. 22 St. Sheepshead Bay and Neal was from Brighton Beach. I can still picture little Carol, frizzy pony tail, braces and freckles. She is still recognizable today, even with the braces gone. BTW, Your dad wasn't my DDS.

No Carol King is not in this video. It is an American Bandstand clip and all the kids in the audience are chewing "Beechnut" Gum. You see the IFIC buttons they are wearing...the Beechnut campaign then was flavorific or terrific....thus the IFIC buttons....just a commercial plug.....the gum was horrible but NEIL is as perfect as ever. He just looks like he's having so much fun....What a unique voice....Teenage Angst....LOVE IT THANKS!!!

Its not Carol, her hair was lighter and frizzy. I went to JMHS with her and JHS 14 before that. She was friends with with my neighbor on E21 St. and I saw her often. That wasn't Carol at 1:14.

Neil Sedaka is a musical genius.
