F-86 Sabre Tribute

A10 Warthog was designed by Germans? From what I remember, a team of american Engineers were assigned with a challenge back during the Cold War.... That challenge was to get the GAU8 in the air. THEY designed the A10 literally AROUND the gun.

One of the biggest thrills I ever got was at an airshow last year. I was standing in line outside the airbase, while an F-86 was doing its routine inside. It did a stunt over the crowd, and rolled out over us in the parking lot at telephone pole height. vvvvvvVVRROOOOOOSSSSHHHHH!!!!

It's very lucky for us that Hitler kept interfering with the German jet program, futzing things up.

Yes this was the idea to have swept wings design for the ME 262. However one cannot say this to the americas.
