Air Traffic Control recording from the crash of Korean Air flight 801 on 6 August 1997. 228 out of 254 people on board died in the accident.
you know nothing about aviation.
By PokeMePT [Affiliate User] 1215703007yeah i agree with steverow
By rohanb2 [Affiliate User] 1215319870BTW many of the KE801 pax died horrible deaths - they were injured by the crash and burned or suffocated in the fire. Some who initially survived died of burn injuries...
By Vikkoman [Affiliate User] 1213757764No, the rain and darkness obscured the valley.
By Vikkoman [Affiliate User] 1213757332They are professional and meant to be calm - I think it's a suppression of feelings.
By Vikkoman [Affiliate User] 1213757298thats cause he is a professional you fool
By DLPBurke [Affiliate User] 1212756593The m-saw cound have save this flight, too bad it did not warn atc
By cassellchew [Affiliate User] 1212557967There are many reason why it crash
-bad weather (it was raining when it approach
Guam)
-glideslope
-M-saw gave nonsence reading to ATC
-Guam Island has many mountain
-and the way Korean Air trained their pilot
What a childish comment
By steverow50 [Affiliate User] 1211692665These Controllers r professionals they are not in the movie business. The guy was on point and calm when he said," ..he must've crashed then". Tragic yes dramatic no and that is good.
By faras5426 [Affiliate User] 1208869251Being an Controller all aircraft are little slashes on a scope, to be honest i dont look at it like people going from point a to point b, your just a green slash on a computer screen and i cant let two of them touch... so his reaction and the way he said "well he must have crashed then" was pretty on point
By djduran [Affiliate User] 1208386930If you read the NTSB report it has a transcript of the pilot to pilot recordings, it basically show the the co-pilot telling the captain he has the wrong ILS dialed in and theyre too low for the approach. the captains response "im the captain, im never wrong".
An ILS is what aircraft use to establish the course and descent rate for the runway it is associated to.
We have a new controller that worked at Guam Center when this happened and he explained to us what happened.
lol that was funny
By 357JACK [Affiliate User] 1208112438He probably was shocked, but it's really a good thing a controller doesn't get freaked out when something bad happens.
By Elukka [Affiliate User] 1207779837well he musta crashed then....wtf???? he said it like he missed an appointment or something
