    Being an Controller all aircraft are little slashes on a scope, to be honest i dont look at it like people going from point a to point b, your just a green slash on a computer screen and i cant let two of them touch... so his reaction and the way he said "well he must have crashed then" was pretty on point

    If you read the NTSB report it has a transcript of the pilot to pilot recordings, it basically show the the co-pilot telling the captain he has the wrong ILS dialed in and theyre too low for the approach. the captains response "im the captain, im never wrong".

    An ILS is what aircraft use to establish the course and descent rate for the runway it is associated to.

    We have a new controller that worked at Guam Center when this happened and he explained to us what happened.
