You S**k , the '33 version was the best. You must have no taste no in movies if all you care about is splendorifc special effects. The '05 remake is an acceptable homage, but, let's be honest, the original was groundbreaking, had infinately better acting, the stop motion animation was the S**t , and in all truth was a much more delightful experiance. F**k you, and have a nice day.

i have to agree. the actual references to the depression in the 2005 version were great. i love this one, but i have to say the 05 version is my favorite

I liked this movie when i watched it the first time in 1976, but i think the 2005 Kong is much better, the '76 one is too much 70's backgrounded and the last one instead resemble better the original 1933 version, good reconstruction of that epoch.

The music by John Barry was one of the best film scores of its time. Unfortunate it was never used for the new version --it would've been more memorable. Kudos to the new Superman for using the original 77 score.

ok, so maybe this movie isn't so bad, but i think the line "THE MOST ORIGINAL, EXCITING MOTION PICTURE EVENT OF ALL TIME" is unessecary

i dunno. i thought the 2005 Kong had personality. of course he probably wouldn't have had that if not for the 76 film.

It seems like the hatred for this film has grown over the years. It isn't any worse than any other cheesy 1970s movie. And I'd say the soundtrack is actually very underrated. Love it or hate it, you can't deny the 1976 Kong has a lot more personality than the computerized zero personality Kong of 2006.

I never understood why this film was so hated. I never ever got that. I love this film. Sure the original may have had a bigger sense o wonder, but this film has its own merits, not the least of which is the fantastic musical score.

The 1933 version of King Kong is great and this piece of crap sucked, it was a disgrace and should never of been made, all of those involved for insulting the original with this crap should be S**t and burn in hell. Thank God Peter Jackson erased this crap from our minds.

well u dont know nothing about makeup do u it can be a man in a monkey suit but it was the best suit for a remake and only 1 sec of the giant robot kong which that crap sucked but anyways everyone had their way of thinking.
