  • Well, what I meant ...

    Well, what I meant was, yes he has the arc reactor, but it is only connected to his chest. Without the suit all it does is keep his heart alive.

    My theory is that the suit itself is filled with wires that go from the arc reactor into his nerves. That's the only way it could work, and still be wearable.

    AND in the movie, he does become visibly tired while trying to use the suit with the arc reactor on HALF power.
