Alright last chance to point out the obvious... fish + water = live fish... fish - water = dead fish. If you morons, & I'm not speaking specifically to you Fentanyl3, can't understand that logic, then I'm wasting my words. But the fish aside, which honestly I don't care if it lives or dies, just that it went to waste. Videos & comments like these are what puts all of us hunters & anglers in a bad light. I'm sure you have already gotten plenty of replies, but the fish is fine. I have caught catfish in the morning, threw them in the bottom of the boat and cleaned them that evening and they were still fighting and flopping at 9:00 o-clock that evening. I have run into mechanical difficulties that prevented me from checking my lines for over a week only to discover several catfish still on them, and still alive. They are a very hardy species worry not.

That catfish could survive a long time out of water, and it obviously swam away when he put it back in. They don't die until their gills dry out and that catfish looked fine when he put it back. You underestimate their ability to survive.

What the hell is the point of going to all that work too reel in a huge cat like that, which obviously the fish is so tired from the fight and is kept out of the water so long that it has no chance of living, and then letting it go to waste? It damn near is illogical as the idea of shoot and release deer hunting. Put a bullet in bambi's heart, take a few pics, and then walk away. If you're going to kill an animal then have the respect to eat the damn thing.

There are a lot of companies specializing on catfishing on the River Ebro for tourists and all of them have a policy of releasing the fish. I don't know why is it.
