after you finish prepering it and all,will it melt on its own,you dont have to keep it in the fridge do you???

Brand doesn't matter, but don't get the flavored stuff. Just get plain gelatin, not jello. The most common brand is Knox.

is jelatin just gello and does it matter what kind like brand and flavour pleas reply to this and whoever tells me the right answer first gets subscribed to =)

styropro you should test the balistic gel to the pelet gun but at diferent distances.5ft,10ft15ftex.

what if you reheat it a second time?

It's basically tasteless jello before you re-melt it and cool it again. Bullets and projectiles will react almost the exact same in Ballistic gel as it does in human flesh, google that if you don't believe me. They use this exact same stuff on mythbusters all the time.

I can stick my finger through jello, not through human flesh. Doesn't seem very realistic.

I can't remember, I made this video a while ago. I know it is cheap though, maybe around $1.50 for 4 packets? I'm sure you can get it cheaper in bulk off the internet though.

It comes in a small box, I got them at Wal-Mart. If you aren't in the US, most grocery stores should have it.

Does it matter what kind of gelatine I use and whether it's flavored or not?

You have to re-heat the gel, I'm not exactly sure why, but I've tried it without the heating and it basically fell apart before I could even shoot it.

What exactly does heating and re-pouring do for the gel? Couldn't you just spray the container to begin with, and skip the re-melt?

Gelatin should be in any Grocery store in the aisle with the Jello mixes.

If you mean after you have shot it, then yeah, you can pull out the bullets and remelt it, you might want to add a little water to it if you are going to remelt it because some of the water will escape from the gel if it has been left in the open for a while.

can you remelt it and rerefrigerate it to use it again?
