watch the movie again. There are subtle hints that the people in the movie besides tyler and jack are unaware that they are two seperate people. For example, the bus scene with the gucci add: a man seemingly bumps into both of them but says "excuse me" only to jack. there are many more

Whats weird is that the main character (who is not named Jack; he gets that name from a series of books about organs written in first person. The only name he ever has is Tyler Durden) has several conversations with Brad Pitt in public. Wouldnt one of the other characters pick up on that?

From 0:17 to 0:19, the fifth rule of 'only one fight', couldn't that be interpreted as Jack fighting himself? Metaphroically of course.
