Don't know planes, but if that was a car tire I'd say it was going sideways to the direction of travel, inflated and not rotating. Crosswind, correction, contact with the runway abort?

I can imagine the hell that would be raised if airplanes from a certain European state-funded company starting failing left and right like this. The quislings at BBC World would surely have a field day.

The US may not have the best planes, but it definitely has the best lobbies!

Look at Southwest. Entire fleet of 737s. Total of 1 fatality and that one was car vs plane on the ground.

Exactly... plus the way and (perhaps most important) how often the planes are overhauled and maintained is a very important factor of crash numbers of the types but therefore it is more realistic to compare the airlines... only those airlines which have enough money to maintain their fleet have low crash records

Well I don't know the numbers but I am pretty sure that the B737 is the most numerous commercial airliner out there. It is used for many short-haul flights and no doubt has the most landings and take-offs. This all adds up to statistically the most likely to be the ones in an accident (same way more Fords than Ferraris have reported accidents)

737's S**k , look at the crash history for 2005 - 2008, nothing but 737's crashing all over the place. None of the other major aircraft seem to have this bad a track record.
