On August 9th of this year, I was preparing my stands for bowhunting this fall when my stand gave way as yours did sending me to the ground from 16' landing on my back. Only by the grace of God, I broke nothing and only was bruised up badly and spent 3 days in the hospital! I always wear a safety belt but got in to much of a hurry this morning. Please! Always wear a safety belt! May God be with you through your recover! Jesus still heals!

Thank you Mike for that video. I just started bowhunting myself. I wont be taking any chances with safety. Thank you also for making mention of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, without whom no man will be saved. Even if God chooses not to heal you, know that nothing happens outside of His will and keep trusting that all things will work toward your ultimate good. In this life, and certainly in the one to come. God blass !

Good luck Mike we are all pulling for you, I have been bow hunting for many years and from a few different climbing stands, I have never used a harness yet, I have severel of them but they are still in the wrappers. Thanks to your video I will get them out and start useing them. Thanks for being brave enough to make this video, you may have changed many lives.

A friend of mine fell from a 20ft stand hand similar injuries as mike. Ever scince that accident i hunt in a two person 500lb stand and still use a harness... this is an important and serious message

Good luck Mike, but I hear you loud and clear with Jesus on your side, even if you never walk again You'll get a new and everlasting body soon enough. I do wish you a full recovery though and pray you'll once again grace the treetops. A safety belt is the cheapest insurance policy you can have, I tell all my friends, it's your obligation to your family and your hunting buddies.
