both dad and orion were such troopers and framboise enjoyed playing in the rafters. i did not like her up there but while i was at work there wasnt much i could do to stop her from being a wild jungle cat and climbing all over.

  • after all the ...

after all the storms that we had we were kind of numb to all of it until the tree fell in the roof...after that it was a challenge to keep orion away from the damaged areas & keeping the floors dry for dad. he had suffered a stroke and was not so good on 'rough terrain'. im lucky to have great friends that let me take orion to their houses for showers and what not. though i could not get dad to stay @ another house, he sure was a stubborn man :) but in the end every thing worked out just fine

it was not easy. but i have great friends that helped by letting me take o over to shower and to make food for him and my dad (i took care of dad after he got ill) my friends were awesome, even letting the animals stay with them when things got rough. oh man it was awesome to take a hot shower though when things got squared away!

oh this was 4 years ago, and it was during the big hurricane season here. thats why it took so long because every tree removal place was booked, also why we had no electricity for so long.
thanks for the information though. that might (hope not) come handy some day

you can see the damage from it in the pics on the side of the house. it doesnt mess with the structure so for now it is staying.

oh it did me too. dad was bed ridden (though he insisted on getting up to see what happened) and orion was 8, it was rough. but we all made it through just fine. quite the scare though! i do wish it was cheaper to have trees cut down though cause i have my eye on a few of them each time storm season hits!
