no! it is not the same! cocoa powder is found in your baking section of the grocery store. it is unsweetened and tastes horrible by itself. it is used just for baking; hot cocoa is sweetened and has a bunch of additives.

I tried making these same cupcakes BEFORE watching this and they turned out good. But I followed how she made them (I bought a sifter and everything) and they turned out even better. This was honestly a tight ass recipe!

yea u really shouldnt talk if u didnt try the recipe... i did and i thought it was great. maybe u should go back and make sure u follwed it correctly? i love it when people flap their traps before they even try it!
