What a shame, the world trade centre took a few years to build and just a few seconds to fall. Terrible.

I live herein nyc they where massivebuilding every where you stood you see them.

trust me, many know the feeling. It's like the analogy of the car wreck on the road. You know you shouldn't look at the injuries or death, but you can't tear your eyes away. WTC was a masterpiece, but they just couldn't design for tech. advancements, no one planned on a plane with that much fuel. The building still stood up to a plane though, the fire and weight of the building being supported by damaged floor tresses and supports brought it down

of course, if you'd rather hear it from experts and the designer of the building, I suggest the documentary 'why the towers fell' excellent explanation of things and only a little over an hour long. I believe it's out on DVD now

the building were designed to withstand the impact of a plane. However the most advanced jet we had then was boeing 707 which had infinitely less fuel. The buildings still stood unded a 757 hitting it. It was just the fires and the weakened floor tresses that brought them down. The central column and the outer supports were seperated when the tresses were destroyed, nothing was holding the building together

the conspiracy theories...never! I don't believe bush is a saint....or a lesser being than a saint....he's screwed us up as badly as one person could quite possibly, but he didn't cause 9/11 or plant bombs. I just watched several documentaries on the structure of the towers and the planes were able to weaken the structures enough for them to pancake

What is your view on the subject of bombs being planted in the towers to make them collapse, personally i don't believe it!!!

yeah its from the 'inside the twin towers' documentary...the guy survived amazingly, but no camera was set up to take photos, no one was expecting the plane

It wasn't weak, it held up to the impact of a plane, just the structure was too badly weakened to withstand the fire. The building was made in the 60's, they couldn't predict all the technilogical advancements

well the building was designed originally to withstand a plane hitting it. However, the largest jet at the time was the Boeing 707 and it didn't have nearly the same levels of fuel. The buildings did hold under the impacy, it was just the fires and the weakened structure than brought them down

I live in the UK and was watching the events unfold live on Sky News and I can't even begin to imagine how terrifying it must have been for all of you who were there at the time, my heart went out to New York!!!!

From someone that was only 13 when it happened. And lives in New York. Its hard to believe that today it has been 6 years since it has happened. Still gets to me. anyway very moving video I really like it thank you!

I don't think there is a building standing that could take that kind of punishment!!

So sad...one of the most moving videos I've seen. Does anyone know what song this is? I know its from Titanic but there are like 10 songs on that CD that sound a lot a like...does anyone know which one this is?
