His sound is, as always, soooo clean... Antoine has a somewhat different taste of cleaness compared to McKee, along with more force(in a good way; it's energetic). Can't believe how he can do this piece of art so organized. You can also feel the powerful mood and beat of the song too; just freaking amazing, Antoine =)

In bass it's called slap. Since i've been practising all my years of acoustic triying to sound like these candyrat folks i've developed my own way of doing it. It's not that complicated, but it's just different from the normal electric guitar playing or even acoustick one, with a pick.

Main problem in here is that if you play this style, it's a hell in hearth to try and do scales. Now i study in Berkley, and i have lotsa problem triying to figure out how to make scales while fingerpicking.

I saw Antoine in Asbury Park, NJ. Stone Pony. He has all the tools. Compositional integrity, Dynamic range, well-thought-out phrasing, superb tecnique & control, No over-the-top showy B/S. and the bottom string too though its hard to see in the shadow

I just recently started listening to this guy, I really like him. Make sure to check out Andy Mckee, I still think I like him better. Especially Rylynn, that song is amazing!

Is he actually using "e" or is it just following "a"?

They are fake nails, some ppl prefer the "pick" sound and to be able to play with their fingers, yet maintain the sound, they need these, he uses a banjo thumb pick, but still it must be a bitch taking them on and off, lol

woah look at his right hand! long nails...i guess thats a sacrifice you have to make to play this great.
