Plane Landing on Heavy Wind, Almost Crashes

bt finally it did nt land... jst coz of heavy winds...?

Almost crashed! Looked as though both wing tips hit the runway (left and then right) that constitutes a crash before lift off again. I won't say good vid because it was very nearly a bad vid.

I heard the airline bought all the passengers a brand new pair of pants upon exiting the aircraft.

Due to the powerful wind, the flaps are not fully extended.
Flaps' function is to;
1. Slow down the plane
2. Alter wing-form in order to generate more lift (needed in decelerated state)

Look closer. The flaps are not downed, so that means the pilot not going to land. In the landing time, the flaps need to be at 30 or more degrees from the wind, otherwise the plane cannot land.

This IS the real deal. This is what the rudder's for in an actual situation where crosswind (in this case; extreme winds) is on the hefty side. This was no test. This was an actual passenger-flight, coming in for landing, breaking off upon attempt, and planning on a second pass/try as he gives it the beans in order to regain height and control.
I'd hate to be a passenger on that particular flight ^^

Give the pilots a bunch of medals and send them on a paid vacation, they've earned it! :)
