i still dont see why these "things" are considered animals, if a computer were given a survival instinct whould it be and animal? an animal is somthing that can mltiply on it own and not with the help of the bing that created it, thats why its called an animal there are just robots.

  • minor note here: ...

minor note here: nitrogen is very difficult to get to react with much of anything, so it would use more energy to react than the energy from the reaction. hydrogen, on the other hand, does work better... the problem we still have is that hydrogen produces little energy profit... i'm not sure if that's been solved yet or not...

  • they don't have a ...

they don't have a will yet, just a way to stay away from water, a way to "know" how many steps they can go without turning back, a way to stay away from obstacles, a way to hold tight in storms, and a way to move.
they're complicated, but all they can to is look cool and walk all over dutch beaches.

it disturbs me as well, how he talks of them, but they are not alive and he should not call them "animals" or say that they think.

  • hey wow dangel6667 ...

hey wow dangel6667 you're so smart. I applaud your observation skills! Good boy! You see wood! And you see that it doesn't breed! So you're right! it CAN'T be an animal, now can it?!

You're so smart, that i trust you mental depiction of these creatures more than the actual creator.

    *end sarcasm*

This man is incredible! The imagination it must take to even conceive of this, and the pure genius it takes to realise it has to make him one of the most brilliant minds on the planet. He's up there with Hawking and Greene. Amazing.

  • sometimes ...

sometimes inventions don't help humanity in a direct way, but on an indirect way, like, the development of new tecnologies and solutions for the next generation of products and services.

The space race coul be seen as an invention that does not benefect mankind in a direct way, but it made possible several tecnological advances that you use in your daily life.
