the US refused to sell any more oil to japan, which japan needed to contine to attck China. So your right because if the Americans didn't react on Japan his aggresive moves to create a Asian prosperity sphere, controlled by them, maybe then the Japanse wouldn't attack in 1941. and besides the Japanse at tha time considered them self as superior and as the choosen ones who were supposed to lead (=control) the other asians. Then,do you know WHY Japan started that war??

First,Japan has had great grudge against coward US,since they had rejected "Race equality law".
Second,Japan didn't want to start that war.
Japan continued to make aconcession to US.
But,cruel US drove Japan into a tight corner
one after another.
Japan couldn't help beginning the war any more.
