This theme is so late 80s that its almost hilarious

Neil30blue: I didn't mean to make it sound like the key was low. I realize that it's higher than the original version. I just meant that I missed the really high "oo EE OO" that's in EVERY OTHER VERSION of the theme! It caught me off-guard, that's all.

It's an all right opening. Probably the most 80's part of this was the font the title was written in; I could taste the Aquanet.

This version of the Doctorwho theme tune is one of my favourites. Its got the lovely sharp diddliy dums and the haunting ooeoo. And the bang at the begining really makes you jump and pay attention. Also di din bit at the end as we see the doctorwho logo and then the bang at the end, brilliant five out of five

It's funny you should say it's too low because its actually 1 key higher than the original version. It's in the same key as the Dominic Glynn and Peter Howell versions. I agree about it being the best theme EVER!

aahhhh doctor who when it was sill brillient,not gay!

First time I heard this version of the theme it was in "Remembrance of the Daleks". And I've always liked it. It was the perfect style for its time (late Eighties). A great tribute to what had gone on before, and a wonderful hint at what was still to come!

I never apprecated this theme until I heard it with earphones on. I have deafness isues and only with earphones can I hear the rich subtlties in the music. I love this theme now.

Tis a very good theme; and it wouldn't sound out of place on some sort of C64 game!

i rather like that opening, and mccoy is my fave doctor, doctor who was allways great, just ppl got board of it by then. lol its great how its back now. woop woop!!!
