Ahead of the Chinese Grand Prix at the Shanghai International Circuit on October 7, ING issues its Race Index, which assesses race features including the circuit itself, level of driver difficulty, engineering requirements and vehicle setup. According to the Index, which rates circuits from a low of 0 to a peak of 100 points, the Chinese Grand Prix, which was first held in 2004, obtains 58 points, occupying the 12th position among the 17 circuits.
