Between 316 Polish agents dropped by parachute in Poland by the Special Operations Executive, there was a group of 8 men - pilots, navigators and gunners trained to use German aircraft. In the 1426 RAF Enemy Aircraft Flight they were trained using Bf 109, Bf 110, He 111H and Ju-88A.

I know of a Spitfire captured in France at the beginning of the war. It was test flown by Walter Horten in mock combat against FW 190s. Horten "shot" them all down, not just because the Spitfire was superior, but because Walter Horten was such a good pilot. He considered the Spit vastly superior tothe 109.
