all I can say is that the dumbazz in the 996 must have been shifting at 5000 rpms, because there is no way in hell that a 4200 lbs 500 CRANK hp Beemer is going to stay with a 3400lb 500 whp stge 2 umw car. Impossible and we all know it.

honestly, you cant really say that the BMW won or the Porsche won, it was just so close, and what it really came down to is the little things like speed of the shift etc.

But those two cars are probably the best autobahn cars on the market today.

Something doesn't make sense here. The Porsche is a lot lighter and, according to the video, makes more power. The Turbo definitely gives it a torque advantage as well. So, the only advantage the M5 would have is gearing. I'm seeing the video just like everyone else but I'm just not sure the Porsche is making the power that's advertised.

Forced induction can only get you so far :P
