I started when I was 18 and got to pointe. I wouldn't say you're too old. You should go for it!

i really admire ballet too, i wish i could still take it up, but no, im fourteen now and i guess it's too hard to start at that old an age.

I really want to go there this next summer...

Acutaly u can become more fleible if u KEEP STRECHING and if u still want to jon then o it.and yes its hard but more practise makes perfect

ive been doing ballet at a professional school since i was 4 and now im 13 and i absoloutly love it!!!! dance is my passion and i wouldnt give it up for the world!!! this video is simply gorgeous cant wait till i can dance like that!!! =)

when u say tht everything looks possible but its not true i wish it was i started ballet at th age of2 bc my aunt owns an academy nd i wanted to join so bad that she allowed me to join when i was2.
I quited when i was 10 because i WAS STUPID,i listened 2 all the other kids said instead of what i thought,i have so much regrets right now.
Im 16 now nd i can never be a ballerina again im not flexible,i cnt even do the splits anymore u gotta be young or ull never b anything its hard but its true

The first ballerinas did not start as children, as many dancers today have. They started as adults. It wasn't until later when ballet became known as an artform in itself that dancers began studying at very young ages. Anyone can dance ballet if they put their mind to it, regardless of age.

im 12 and ive been dancing for 9 years
if u want to start when your older it is harder so you should find a pre professinal
school and start in a young class but if u do ballet youi have to dedicate pretty much every second believe me i take 9 classes per week not includin reahersals but i llooooooooovveeeeeeee it =)

i love ballet! ive been dancing for 10 years now! I started when I was 3 though,at my studio I can't take pre-pointe for a few years though. My teachers say i have the potential but she wants everyone to wait until theyre older. I do compete though,its fun!

Wow! I love it! Its true, when someone who doesn't know dance very well, they just know its gorgeous to watch, they don't realize the strength it takes! Dancers in general have to make everything look effortless!

no of course not! there are soo many people that start ballet at an older age. i started when i was 10 and now im 14. and i absolutely love it! and there are some older people at my studio. one girl was in my pre pointe class and she was 17.and also being older you will be able to catch on quicker [most likely] so tell your mom that! and i bet if you are dedicated enough after 2-4 years you might be ready for pointe work! you should definetely do it!

Wish we could see a whole performance and not just advertising.
