Ultimately this escalation will bankrupt the US. Without Cheap Oil, the US Military can only continue to increase the scale of it's operations through the rapid inflation of the money supply.

When the war is at it's height, the US will be forced pull out as it won't have enough oil to maintain a full fledged assault.

Israel's oil supply will have been cut off and they'll be forced to continue the fight without mechanized equipment.
