We thought your clip was wonderful as it was a mix of videos and stills all showing the beauty of KAUAI were off to KAUAI next year as we usually go to Hilo but were going to broaden our horizons and by your clip wev'e made the right choice thanx

ive been to Kauai, Maui, and oahu. im not sure if thats the correct spelling. but so far kauai is the most beautiful. maui and oahu have more to do tho.

Aloha! Howzit! I was also very fortunate to be on Kauai in the late 60's...paradise supreme! Lived in Kalalau, enjoyed every hole in the dirt road out to Hanalei and Haena. Ching Young's store was 'civilization' ;)
I now hear sad sad stories...I guess every place must change with time.

Na Mele o Kaua'i I have watched the changes over the years. When I first came to Kauai Oahu was the place and Maui was being discovered!There was one stop light on the island, the Kauai Surf Hotel was the tallest building, the Kuhio Hiway was a 1 1/2 lane road to the N. Shore. There was no Princeville Resort, you could park anywhere at Ke'e and hike the Kalalau without a permit. The "slippery slides were yours to use if you knew where they were. I too am sad and hope that the development stops!
