By TriangleChoke96 [Affiliate User] 1212593217 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeyes BJJ S**ks ... absolutely lame ass in every way. Of course it's only the most influential grappling style in MMA (every top MMA fighter must trian it). Dear Mr. Kyokushin (which is a great style of Karate btw, my great uncle studied under Oyama), two things you need to understand 1) Judo and BJJ are basically cousins. 2) BUT... If you think the subs in Judo (save a few schools) approach anywhere near the sophistication of the ground game and subs of BJJ, you are terribly mistaken. carry on.

By TheJudoka74 [Affiliate User] 1212578830 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWOW actually, if i learn Kyokushin WITH judo, i would b unstoppable. Judo teaches takedowns, which bjj lacks, AND SUBMISSIONS! Just do striking, then its all good. I love those takedowns, F**king awesome JUDO > BJJ!!!!
By UchihaItachi8989 [Affiliate User] 1212528691 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveTry saying judo falls don't hurt after 14 years. Bodies get old, you don't always land the way you're supposed to -- especially if you're in a match and you're trying to spoil your opponents ippon by turning to not land on your back. You don't advance via competition by giving up the match as soon as your opponent has you airborn. You spin, twist, cartwheel, anything to keep from landing on your back. You'll learn in time, grasshopper.

By mistrija007 [Affiliate User] 1212464719 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWhat is the etiquette if I can call it that to reduce the danger of the guy getting thrown having his head driven into the ground and snapping his neck?
By myrmecia1977 [Affiliate User] 1212464112 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveToo right.
In competitions it can get brutal and some peops get too desperate. We get taught that if you feel yourself leave the floor, prepare yourself for a fall.
But I prefer my mat techniques. I like to get my opponent grounded and make em tap. Feels oh so sweet!
