info: this was filmed in a real location orlando, fl at sea world. the pearl diving at the water front is where you can find me as a pearl diver. guest can watch us as divers bring up oysters for them to get a pearl. holding my breath is something i would display for fun to guest bcs it was something they seemed shocked to see so i started having my coworkers video tape some of my time at work. yes, i got paid to swim, lol. the breath holding was not required of me but something i have been able to do from a young age and would show off to draw a crowd so they would come by an oyster with a pearl from us. no we did not get a commision but that was our job to draw in the guest walking around the park for fun and entertainment.
anyone who is curious about this video: (be carefuland use caution but try it!) hold your breath as long as you SAFELY can and watch how your stomach starts convulsing in and out trying to get hair. then again most can hold their breath to this point. i guess i should take it as a compliment people think its so unbelievable that i can hold my breath this long. even one the guys who is watching me in the tank who is a guest in the park says "she has to be getting air from somewhere, she can't hold her breath that long." and he was right there! if you are underwater, id you try to breath you have to let it out to take in more and air would be coming out of your nose or mouth. i only let air out towards the last 20 seconds bcs my body starts needing air so bad that i let air out i had been holding in the whole time to trick my body to stay underwater by at least exhaling what i had before i come up.
