woot woot! thanks so much :) I must admit my first lightning bult I made was pretteh fancyy, but nothing caperd to yours, lol mines all straight & didnt really get a lightningy shape like yours did :p

Are you sure you didn't click clouds instead of difference clouds?

omg omg im soooo happy i've solved my problem its beacuse i was selecting inches insted of pixels. weeeeeeeeeeee

im having a problem and idk why beacuse i was doing this all the time follwing the same exact same prosesece and it was working.but now whan i get to filter/render/diference clouds i dont get a singel bold lightning bolt i get a bunch of really weak lines going straight about an inch wide and like continatel shapes all in side the weak ziggay lines you might not be abel to understand what i just said but plz think hard about it

When you pasted the bolt into the mail image I was like, "Good luck erasing all that black," and then... boom. done. Wow. wow. wow. wow.
I cannot tell u how many hours I've spent inveritng images and them making them into photoshop brushes. This completely eliminates the extra step!

wow this tutorial is great!! i just wish i could've found it 3 hours ago! Im a BIG HARRY POTTER FAN and im doing a project to where i put myself on a pic with voldemort and a few death eaters to make it look like we're in battle..so of course i have my wand and i wanted to create the light that comes out of it..i did that but i was trying to figure out how to get rid of the black bgd to make the light blend in with the rest of the pic.Geez!! i had to use the eraser and blur tools to get it done!
