Ok well snakes do not need large places they prefer small areas to feel safe. If you put a 6 foot snake in a 20' by 20' it is going to curl up in a corner and probably stay there. They feel safe in small dark areas where they know that there is no other animals around that could be dangerous to them. The people at the San Diego zoo know what they are doing. The snakes may seem like they are trapped but really they do not need huge cages.

i got snakes too, i think small tanks are wrong, and you have to take them out at least 3 ore 5 times doing a week. maybe a snake got a small brain etc etc, but it still have sine instinks and blablabla, so its this is wrong,even reptiles should be treaded equal as
other animals.

Exactly why I chose it. These creatures are in a box about 5'x 4' x 3'. What? I should have use "Rock Around the Clock" or "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow"? Think about it! This is a sad situation that should be accompanied by sad music. I shot this video way before youtube was even a idea. I edited it and put it on youtube just because I had it. I was astounded that it is viewed more that any of the other 137 videos I have uploaded.

As a Herpetologist myself, I can appreciate others taking interests in snakes like this. They are such magnificent creatures, don't you think? For an amateur I thought your camera work was very good, you really captured the unique appearance of each snake and their movements.

hey, you guys should check out my show prehistoric pets.

I didn't pick the music because it was sad. I liked the way the movement of the music matched the movement of the snakes. Put them together and it comes out sad. The filming was done to make the walk around the reptile house more interesting for me. Youtube didn't exist then and I didn't plan on making it public therefore it is less than average quality work.

lol that was dumb to put such sad music on it seriously..... why not some happy or adventurous music 5/5 for snakes 1/5 for music and probably 2/5 for ur filming =/ sorry dude

Thanks for your comment. I picked the music to match the snakes movements, slow and melancholy. In review I should have added dissolve transitions between clips.

This is a really good video. Mixed with the music, it made me feel bad for the snakes. Having to be kept in those cages. Sad. But great job on the video.
