Not to sound stupid but would the Xenon blow out of your lungs if you were to exhale upside down?

the reeds and lips vibrate to virate the air inside of the instrument, if that air is relaced with helium , which is lighter than air, the pitch gets higher

Sorry, but this is wrong! Single reeded and double reeded woodwind instruments make their sound from the vibration of the reed. Brass make their sound from the lips vibrating together.

The helium might make it a little harder to blow into the instrument perhaps, thus making a change in the pitch.

Yes, but they did show the whole ensebmle playing near the start and the flutes and saxophones went out of tune there, for no apparent reason.

I thought the exact same thing...the accent sounds pretty darned similar too (yes, I realize that David Tennant is Scottish, I'm referring to the accent that the 10th Doctor uses). I don't think the trainers + the skinny build help either.

Sulfur Hexaflouride does have the effect of making your voice deeper, without those horrifying consequences, AS LONG AS you don't inhale too much, and really force all of the Sulfur Hexafluoride out of your lungs, when you're finished with it.

I reckon this is fake as it would not effect any woodwind instruments; only brass instruments, yet when they were all horrible, the flutes were out of tune also :S, Oh well!

Actually, using Xenon to try to make your voice deeper should NEVER be tried EVER!

The reason being is that since Xenon is heavier than air, it would stay in the bottom of your lungs, no matter how much you exhale.

The effects of this can be fatal, as you would not be able to take in enough oxygen because your lungs are already filled with Xenon. It would be as though you drowned.

I am very serious here.
