Newschopper Crash Due to Tail Rotor Failure

I remember this,They were reporting on an afternoon shootout on the crowded streets of downtown brooklyn...

i wanna know how people on here are able to find NTSB reports on the crashes on you tube without actually knowing the date of the accident, or totaly sifting through the NTSB archives.

Almost managed to keep it on the roof there...

My present co-pilot was aboard this very helicopter when the crash occurred and amazingly everyone walked away with minor bumps and bruises.
It just wasn't their time to go.

The National Transportation Safety Board determines the probable cause(s) of this accident as follows:The pilot's failure to maintain control of the helicopter after a loss of hydraulic system pressure due to a failure of the hydraulic pump belt. Factors in this accident were the pilot's misidentification of a hydraulic failure, the pilot's subsequent failure to perform the appropriate emergency procedure, and the improper installation of the hydraulic pump belt by maintenance personnel.
