Yaesu FT101E Rxing West Coast USA..........A "Classic" 1975 Radio!!!!

This is my Yaesu FT101E rxing a QSO between W6CCP on the West Coast of the USA and DF5VO. This is the first time this radio has been fired up in nearly a decade.This was my first HF Radio bought for a bargain £42 from a local radio club "Junksale".This just shows with a good antenna what can be achieved with a modest "Classic" radio.I run far more modern "Top End" radios and Linear Amps in the shack.This video is a response to my good friend Scott (4040 Videgates) who runs a "Yackamo" FT101 on the CB Bands .The original FT 101 was launched in the USA in 1971 and both "Hams" and CBers bought them in large amounts.
