In Part Two the two sets are demonstrated through a '73 Princeton Reverb. The amp is turned up to 10 and controlled from the guitar starting at low volume turning up to full volume, to show the tonal range of the pickups. At the end is a short section of high gain tones through a Marshall Studio 15 and a Blues Junior chained together.

I'd totally buy these pups, I'm thinking ofthese or a a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan Jazz in the neck, plus they both work out at about the same price for me in Aust. Opinions anyone?

  • you're right , ...

you're right , cheap recording, off camera and straight into a Mac with nothing added, on top of that YouTube compresses the heck out of the video and audio. Not much I can do about that. My prototype set Two is out on tour with a pro now and he doesn't want to give them back, he's addicted to them...

  • when I was a kid ...

when I was a kid we'd use a small low powered amp like a Fender champ and use the speaker output into the other amp to get an overdriven tone, but this is real dangerous in modern amps, you can literally blow up an amp by doing this now days, not recommended....other than that you could use the line or effects out loop into one channel of the other amp and thats safe...
