Hajj - Step 09 - Day 03

1. Recite one of the following supplications:

O Allah! Surely this is Mina. I have come to You, Your slave and the son of Your slave. I ask You to favor me with that which You have favored Your friends and Your obedient ones and to make me from amongst Your pious slaves, O Most Merciful of those who show mercy!

Allah is the Greatest -- Allah is the Greatest. There is no god (worthy of worship) besides Allah and Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest and for Him is All Praise.

2. Throw seven stones consecutively at Jamrah al-Aqabah (closest monument to Makkah) accompanied by Takbeer (Allahu Akbar). When stoning, make the following supplication:

BismillaaHe Allaahu Akbaru Rajman lish shaitaani wa raziyan lir Rahmaani. Allaahum maj'alhu Hajjam mabruuraw wa zanban maGfuuraw wa sa'iyan mashkuuraa.

This is translated as: In the name of Allah -- Allah is the greatest - A humiliation for Shaitaan and for Allah's Pleasure. O Allah! Make it an acceptable Hajj and (my) sins forgiven and (my) effort a thankful (one).

3. Before slaughtering the animal recite the following supplication: Verily, I have set my face firmly towards Him who has created the heavens and earth and I am not of those who join partners (unto Allah). Surely, my worship, my sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the Universe. He has no partner, with that I am commanded and I am among the Muslims. O Allah! Accept from me this sacrifice and make it a means of closeness unto your Countenance and magnify (increase) my reward for it.

4. Shave your (male) hair. Make the following supplication:

a. All praise is due to Allah upon that which he guided us. All praise is due to Allah for that which He favored us with. O Allah! This is my forehead so accept it from me and forgive my sins. O Allah! Forgive me, those who shave their heads and also those who cut their hair O Reservoir of Mercy.

b. All praise is due to Allah, who made us complete our Hajj rituals. O Allah! Increase us in belief, conviction, opportunity (to do good) and support. Forgive us, our fathers, mothers and all Muslims.

c. O Allah! Confirm for me one good for each hair and remove for me through it one sin and raise me through them (the hair) in status in Your Presence. May Allah shower His Blessings and Salutations on the Noble Prophet.

5. Trim/clip your (female) hair the length of finger tip.

6. Come out of ihraam.

7. Take shower, and change into clean cloths.
