do you shoot elk at half a mile away with your flintlock? Do you hunt elk during the rut? does this look like hunting to you? I say it is just killing......or harvesting....no way it is hunting. gregg,an oversize gun NEVER compensates for poor marksmanship,a75 caliber slug to the guts is justa gut shot.This video didnt reveal poor shooting,quite the contrary.its not stillhunting or stalking, but it is hunting.I shoot a.50 cal. flintlock during black powder season, my brother has a fancy inline with scope,its not my cup of tea but we are both BLACK POWDER HUNTING!go hunt the way you want as long as its legal and allow others the same freedom to enjoy hunting the way they like to.

the bullet travels in an arc and passes the line of sight twice if the zero is 100yrds then the bullet may pass thru at 300 if the targets 1000yrds then you must aim 9foot above the target.
but if the target is closer than 100 yards wich is your zero than you eill have to aim low hope this helps
