True, but the music and sound of it still be the same one used for the dead. I used to txiv qeej when i was a teen and i played a lot for the dead and for entertainment in BV so i know it well. now i quit 'cause i have better things to do.

not miss use it was intended for the funeral but it is also use for entertainment at new years festival unfortunally it is no longer use for entertainment in the USA.

I think we Lao Hmong and American Hmong have misused the "qeej" in a wrong way. we suppose to use it for entertainment, NOT for funeral. i enjoy the Chinese Hmong qeej than using it for the dead.
