  • If cost isn't a ...

If cost isn't a huge issue, get the 9800gtx. It will out perform the 9600 in SLI by a huge margin. Don't forget that you don't get 100 per cent increase in performance from 2 cards; inefficiency in the cards communicating with each other significantly lowers this so u would only get say a 70%increase. The 9800 is a hugly powerfull card. If ur looking for a cheeper option y not get a 8800. what are u upgrading from and what are ur pc specs?

dude, illmagnified is such a noob thinking quad core specificly built for 'shitloads of physics and advanced a.i.' there are NO games at present that take advantage of quad core, how can he not know a good gpu is 10 times faster than even a Nehalem Processor at certain tasks like physics and video editing etc. aniway, ur point was argued clearly, and ur rite, jus wanted to let u know lol

  • the 8800gts 512 is ...

the 8800gts 512 is the perfect balance between performance cost and features. the gts512 is very similar to the gtx in performance benchmarks often out performs the gtx untill you get to extreemy high resolutons , upwards of 1680x1050 with aa. from a cost/performace perspective the ultra is pointless. reply wit sumat cos im a geek
